As my next birth year begins today on September 11, I feel healthier, happier and more confident than ever. I believe that we all can achieve equilibrium when we embrace the fullness of our physical, emotional and spiritual lives.
The Warp and Weft of our Connected Lives
On October 30th, the company I have contributed to for several years (GENBAND) merged with another company (Sonus), to form a combined global communications brand we named Ribbon Communications. And this week, I was proud to represent the newly combined companies on a panel regarding the importance of diversity in the workplace, and the opportunity for all of us to be our “true selves” even when we are at work.
The Freedom Sculpture – A Shared Dream
Right here, in my hometown of Los Angeles, Farhang Foundation, together with the Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and Councilman Paul Koretz, will be hosting the L.A. Freedom Festival, a celebration of diversity and unity in Los Angeles. At this event, The Freedom Sculpture designed by Cecil Balmond O.B.E. and realized by the ARYA Group will be unveiled; an interpretation of the Cyrus Cylinder, an ancient Persian artifact widely considered to be the first declaration of human rights and individual freedoms (proclaimed by Cyrus the Great some 2,500 years ago).
