CULTIVATING GLOBAL CONNECTIONS
Work Life Balance
I began sharing my journey to wellness through nutrition by creating BITA's KITCHEN in August 2018. This channel, known for its focus on plant-based, gluten-free recipes inspired by Persian traditions, has captivated a global audience, illustrating my passion for healthy, culturally-rich cooking that is also ‘good’ for our bodies.
As a proud Angeleno for over 30 years, and a proud Iranian-American, refugee, and immigrant, my cooking is a celebration of flavors from around the world, with each dish reflecting a part of my journey. Beyond sharing recipes, I am devoted to using my culinary skills for philanthropic causes, hosting events to support immigrants and those in need.
Balancing a dynamic professional life with my culinary passions, I cherish my life in Los Angeles with my husband. I take joy in participating in dance competitions for charity and spending quality time with my five grandchildren, each moment adding to the richness of my life.
Through Culinary Activism
IMMIGRANT DINNERS
In this journey, I've embraced the power of food to bring people together for meaningful causes.
Collaborating with local chefs and restaurants, I've dedicated my time and culinary talents to cook for humanitarian causes. These volunteer projects called Immigrant Dinners are more than just preparing meals; they are acts of compassion and solidarity, creating spaces where food becomes a unifying force.
Through these collaborations, I aim to highlight the struggles and celebrate the resilience of immigrant communities, using my love for cooking as a tool for advocacy and change.
If you are a chef, restaurant owner or a non-profit aligned with this mission, let’s cook together and bring humanity together through culture of food.
We can pick a theme, special holiday or just any day of the year to accomplish something truly memorable and meaningful.
